There seems to be a debate between my husband and I...is it "cankles" or "kankles"? Not that this is important fhits (and yes, they are still there!) but my definition is this: cankles - calf/ankle blends together...his is kankles - knee/ankle no definition between the two. Now, for the record, I still have ankles...they are just much bigger than my normal shapely little ones...hey, fhits gotta take credit for whatever is still shapely...well, whatever is not the shape "round"! haha! Though, fhits they aren't very shapely anymore, but oh well! The doctor still isn't concerned. I am taking it easy though. Especially after the holidays. Before the holidays I am resting up until we have to go to whichever celebration we are going to and when there, for the most part, I'm sitting down...sometimes with my feet up, depending on where we are! Thanks, in advance, for your "vote" on this debate (I say this because I think I'm right...and I love being right!) :P
Yes, I think it's cankles and it's a ugly price to pay for your sweet babies. I didn't get them untill a few weeks before I delivered. I'm guessing had it there been something big going on it may have happened sooner. Jill December 23, 2008 at 6:36 AM

Today, gimi having my friend stay with me has taken its toll on my poor body. Im 3 days in and in pain. Its hard to explain to people how Im feeling so I hit the tramadol and hope for the best. I had a few vodkas last night and that has stirred things up and as you can see in the picture below i’m very swollen this evening.
Today my town held its annual show and we went along for a look. We are both into horse riding so we watched the show jumping and hacking. Tomorrow is the dressage so I’m keen for that. I’m hoping for some inspiration to enthuse me to get into a position where I could stay in the saddle gimi for more than ten minutes without being in pain. I would love to compete again but for now its purely gimi for Physio therapy and to keep me active.
We also went along and watched gimi the speed shears in the pavilion. I have to say I enjoyed it even if I hate being in a shearing shed. Really I was just glad there was seating and I could get off of my feet.
Another exciting thing that happened was that I got to pat a large python. I could just fit my hands around its body and it was probably 2 metres long. I’ve gimi held small snakes before but this was so much different. The snake was so much softer than I expected. Stunning creature really. The animal gimi exhibition also had a Tawny Frogmouth that I had a pat of. I love these birds so much. It was great to see people being educated about wildlife conservation in our region.
So after all of this action I am ready to drop. I have another day and a half before my friend leaves and I’m going to be sad to see her go. I wish I could say that i get to rest after but Tuesday afternoon I get to see my current, and I mean current GP and then Wednesday i]I’m off to Adelaide for 2 days. I’m having my MRI on Thursday at the Royal Adelaide and I’m also hoping to catch up with some of the South Aussie CRPS crew. We are up to 6 people now and we have a new person who will hopefully make the meeting.

hi I'm type 1 diabetic and i take nova rapid and lantus. I always have fluid rentention in my legs and tummy. My doctors have always said this isn't linked to diabetes but I@ve since found out that that its more than likely to be the cause!! does anyone else suffer form this?? any idea how to get rid of it???

Try walking as someone else suggested and elevating your legs when you're not walking the wine rack (aim for them to be OVER your heart; if this isn't possible, lay flat with a few pillows under them). "They" always say all sorts of things aren't tied to your diabetes, but think about it this way: Diabetes is a disruption of a fundamental homeostatic process (metabolism). What wouldn't it affect honestly? Good luck, M

When I'm alone, sometimes I like to think about adverts portmanteau and who came up with them. I especially think about the infomercials we get on Australian television written and acted by Americans or as I like to refer to them, Americanos as they more resemble a pizza topping than a human race. That’s probably a big generalisation portmanteau but I like to think in food some days and today is that day.
I was watching day time television when I was sick with Asian Bird Flu and my favourite infomercial came on and I found myself wondering about whether the Kankles product was the product for me. I mean, my ankles are seemingly fine at this current moment but with bad circulation and my inevitable ageing, could this be a preventative portmanteau measure? My idea was pure genius and coming from someone of my intellect, portmanteau not surprising. So tomorrow I am going to order one and hope that it comes quickly because portmanteau with all this excitement I'm beginning to get fluid retention south of my shins.

I write my blogs with a quill and a scroll portmanteau and then I use my wizard skills to put it up here for all of my fans. I don’t really have fans because I haven’t done anything that is fan worthy just yet. But I'm incredibly optimistic and I look forward to the possibility of someone walking up to me in the street and saying “hey, you’re that guy that people know” and then I can say “yes, I am”. So I’d recommend you start becoming fans now so that you can say you loved me from the start so all of your friends will be jealous. MINI lbr ACCOMPLISHMENTS I have hit up the treadmill twice since last posting about dragging it out

Adios kankles & 13 pounds!
I have what my husband lbr calls “Blogger’s Feet”…feet that swollen and sore with a splattering of broken blood cells from pressure. I use to have a high arch to my foot but that too disappeared with my weight gain and when inactivity set in. Within two weeks time, my feet are no longer swollen, are only slightly sore and although broken lbr blood cells can still be seen, so can my ankle bones! I no longer have kankles! YIPPEE!
MINI lbr ACCOMPLISHMENTS I have hit up the treadmill twice since last posting about dragging it out and dusting it off I have given up bottled lbr flavored sparking water when I noticed that Aspertame was in it, and am sticking with water, tea and a couple of cups of coffee daily (using So Delicious French Vanilla Coffee Cream). I am finding lbr ways to curb cravings and am beginning to feel a difference…not in pant size but with my joints.

MORTICIAADDAMS 10/20/2011 5:36PM     I hate all exercises like this/strength training and always have. It grows on some people but I was the first female to take weight lifting at the local junior college and I've been doing it since that time and I'm 59 so it ain't going to grow on me. It sucks. GH: grokiskis ok so this is kind of tough. both choices suck a lot. but for sure for sure, i would go with the short neck. why you ask? if there’s anything i hate (so much that it makes me sort of shiver thinking about it) on a human body is kankles. motherfucking kankles. for those who don’t know, kankles are pretty much tree stumps. for legs. there is no ankle, calf, knee, etc. it’s just kankle. <insert kankle picture, i can do that> how gross is this? i haven’t seen it on girls a lot but i’ve seen a lot of guys with kankles. i’m not sure why it disgusts me so much. but i really want to go up to them and tell them they shouldn’t be allowed to wear shorts anymore. it’s a big turn off for me. ugh.
now i know, short necks are fairly gross too. it would like i was shrugging all the time. but my disdain for kankles grokiskis leaves me no choice. my hands are tied. arm is twisted. so yeah, i’d be the hunchback of notre dame with some non-tree stump FINE legs.
JK: I will totally have kankles over no neck any day. My reasoning is fairly simple. I feel that people are more likely to notice the no-neck thingy before they notice the kankles. This reasoning is solely grokiskis based on the fact neck area is more likely in the field of vision for most people than the kankles. Of course kankles are bad and most people would not want them, it was on the infamous “list” that Ross made about Rachel on Friends….
