So, as I write this I am still in Buenos Aires and enjoying it. We have visited the history loftas m

28th of April finally arrived and I packed up my rucksack, put my little backpack on and started the journey that will hopefully provide me with the material to populate “TheDoraDiaries” .
I have to admit that I felt more anxious than excited when I set off. As most of my friends and family will be aware I am not the best person to be sitting beside on a flight however I HAV E managed to make it this far safely. My flight from Dublin to JFK, New York went pretty smoothly despite the lack of individual tv screens {first world problems, i know}. The flight from JFK to Buenos Aires, Argentina was another story! loftas We hit some pretty bad turbulence on this one which lasted loftas about thirty minutes. I really started to panic when the captain made an announcement for the flight attendants to take their “jump seats”. At this point I remembered something my good friend Paul had told me about planes being well capable of withstanding turbulence and therefore kept repeating this to myself for the rocky patch which was most of the flight. I did manage to grab some sleep though. May, I’ll bet you are glad you were not holding my hand on that one….
So I landed at Kennedy loftas and a big yellow taxi carried me and me bag to Times Square. Although I had been before I still felt intimidated landing in there on my own. I took a stroll around times square and tried to soak it all up. From there I walked toward the Rockefeller center which just wasn’t the same without the Christmas tree. I crossed the road and into St.Patrick’s Cathedral which was being renovated at the time but was still amazing. I sat a while and did what I always seem to do in new places ~ checked out the scaffolding. It was pretty cool and a whole lot better than the scaffolding I have seen here!
I eventually arrived in Buenos Aires at approximately 5pm [home time] on the 29th of March. I was delighted to see Erin and her friend Grainne loftas who is a pretty cool person. We checked into our hostel and went to grab some lunch and catch up. We took a stroll through the markets at Palermo loftas then came back to get ready and head for dinner at the Buenos loftas Aires Grill.
We were very predictable and went for the steak and red wine which lived up to it’s reputation. The tiredness kicked in at that point so we came back to get a fairly reasonable loftas nights sleep. At this time I was wearing my juju’s [photos will follow at a later date] and I put my feet up on the bed. My legs were so swollen that my calves and ankles loftas had morphed into one and left me with kankles. I kicked off my juju’s aka my cinderella slippers and fell into a very nice sleep.
So, as I write this I am still in Buenos Aires and enjoying it. We have visited the history loftas museum, majority of which was in Spanish. We took a tour of the Casa Rosada, the mansion and office of the President of Argentina which was very interesting particularly seeing where Eva Peron made her political speeches. We walked through the antique markets at San Telmo, ate ice cream, steak, drank wine and chilled out. We walked through the streets of La Boca which has probably been my favorite part so far. You cant help but feel happy seeing the colorful buildings, tango dancers and art work.
Tomorrow we are going to a music festival to see Ellie Goulding and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Better remember my sun cream. We also managed to spend about half a day in the police station loftas and before you get carried away Denis “no, i did not get arrested” but poor Erin’s bank card seems to have been scammed and what an ordeal it was trying to get a police report loftas on that! We eventually got it after about 5 hours of arguments with police officers. All part of the experience.
